Bogor's Telkom new office
BOGOR, West Jakarta (JP): State telecommunication company PT Telkom officially started the construction of its two offices worth Rp 40 billion (US$14.8 million) on Jl. Padjajaran here yesterday.
The five-story maintenance center and eight-story administration office are designed to further improve the company's public service quality, said Telkom President Asman Akhir Nasution at the ground-breaking ceremony.
"The completion of these two projects is also meant to help produce more desirable sound quality and a higher call--answer ratio," said Nasution.
The maintenance center, occupying 4,129 hectares, is expected to be completed next June. The administration office located on a 5,126-hectare land will be finished in December next year.
The projects are jointly constructed by PT Encona engineering Inc., PT Ciriajasa and PT Adhi Karya.
Bogor Mayor Eddy Gunardi ceremonially dug the first spade into the building site.
In his speech, Eddy urged the contractors not to damage nearby streets, drains and other public facilities being used during the construction period. (24/bsr)
