Bogor successful tax collection

BOGOR (JP): Bogor regency has collected about 60 percent of
the projected overall income from taxes of Rp 32 billion during
the first semester of the 1999/2000 fiscal year, an official said
on Tuesday.

Head of the Bogor Administration Revenue Agency Perry Suparman
said the revenue was obtained from various taxes, including Rp
6.2 billion from the hotel and restaurant operational tax, Rp 850
million from the amusement centers operational tax, Rp 800
million from the advertising tax and Rp 10 billion from the
public road lighting tax.

Perry said he was proud of the Bogor residents. "They have
quite an awareness of paying their taxes," he said.

He said the agency would also focus on intensifying the
collection of taxes, such as the ground water levy. (21/edt)
