Bogor roads damaged due to rain

BOGOR: Some main roads in Bogor are dangerously potholed owing
to the heavy rains that have fallen over the past month.

The potholes are potentially lethal for unsuspecting road
users but are also a persisting nuisance for pedestrians who get
splashed with filthy water by passing cars.

Many deep potholes along the road that passes from the
entrance of Bogor railway station to Matahari shopping center
have yet to be fixed by the Bogor mayoralty administration.

"Should the mayoralty not repair the damaged roads immediately
and the rains continue to fall, more roads will be severely
damaged," Encang, a resident was quoted as saying by Antara.

Many roads, including one heading to Parung was also
reportedly damaged. --JP
