Bogor dropouts get vocational training

BOGOR (JP): Pakuan University here is offering vocational training in sewing and garment production to 56 school dropouts in a program supported by Bogor's Rotary Club and Latter day- Saint Charities USA.

The three-month program is being offered to low-income school dropouts between the ages of 15 and 16, the university's rector, Rubini Atmawidjaja, said.

At the end of their training, participants will be placed in garment firms in Bogor and Jakarta, including PT YKK Indonesia Zipper, PT Coats Indonesia, PT Ricky Putra Garmindo, TMS Group and PT Mulya Grafika. (21/edt)
