Bogor deer sent to Bengkulu

BOGOR (JP): Ten deer from Bogor Palace were transported to Bengkulu on Monday to be raised at the official residence of the governor there.

The head of Bengkulu's husbandry office, Emran Kuswadi, came directly from Bengkulu and brought the 10 deer to the governor's residence.

Meanwhile, Bogor Palace's household chief Atikah Sumantri said that the deer would survive in Bengkulu as they were a hardy animal that could easily adjust to any tropical climate.

She said that Bogor Palace had sent many deer to a number of places, including a safari park in Puncak, West Java.

Currently, the palace has between 700 and 800 deer living in its grounds. (21)
