Bogor cites undocumented buses

BOGOR: Forty-three buses serving the Bogor-Jakarta route have
been cited by the Bogor Traffic and Land Transportation Agency
Office for not having the necessary vehicle documents.

The head of the Baranangsiang bus terminal, Hidayat AS, said
on Friday document checks were conducted on 161 buses entering
the terminal from Monday to Wednesday.

Hidayat said buses that did not have vehicle documents would
not be allowed to operate.

He also said the drivers and bus company owners responsible
for the cited buses would be required to appear in court next
Thursday.

Hidayat expressed hope that the operation would help bring
some sense of order to the bus terminal. -- JP
