Body found in trash container

JAKARTA (JP): A body of a female was found in a garbage
container on Jl. Lenteng Agung, in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta
yesterday.

A police sergeant at the South Jakarta Police precinct said
the body was found by an officer of the city sanitation office,
Tarjo, at about 9:30 a.m.

Tarjo told police the last time he emptied the trash
container, he found nothing suspicious.

The officer speculated that the woman was killed and dumped
three days ago.

He said police found wounds on the leg, body and head of the
woman, aged between 20 and 25 years.

He said the legs were tied with a rope when the body was
found.

Police were questioning several people in the area whether
they recognized the body, he said. (jun)
