Body found in Jelakeng River

JAKARTA (JP): A dead man was found drifting in Jelakeng River in Roa Malaka subdistrict, West Jakarta, early yesterday.

The man, identified as 33-year-old Dedi Suhendar of Jl. Kembung in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, had been stabbed in the left side of his rib cage, and in the neck and chest. He also was cut on the lower lip.

Penjaringan Police are investigating the motive of the murder.

Dedi's body was sent to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital for a postmortem examination. (ivy)
