Boarding house owner arrested for drugs

JAKARTA: North Jakarta Police arrested a man last Friday believed to be the owner of a boarding house on Jl. Swasembada Barat, Kebon Bawang subdistrict, North Jakarta for keeping 16 packages of shabu-shabu (metamphetamine) in his house.

Tanjung Priok Police said boarding house owner Mansyur was arrested following a tipoff from local residents, who told police that narcotics deals often took place in Mansyur's boarding house.

Mansyur was arrested and 15 packages of metamphetamine kept in white envelopes were confiscated from him. He is now being detained at the Tanjung Priok Police subprecinct. --JP
