BNI's new management team
JAKARTA (JP): Shareholders of state-owned publicly listed Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) yesterday approved a new board of directors at an extraordinary general meeting, with Widigdo Sukarman remaining president director.
He said the format of the board remained the same, one president director and six other directors.
Five of the six directors are new faces. They are Sunardji Parto Adinoto, Binsar Pangaribuan, Hasan Soeftendy, Agus Daryanto and Saifuddien Hasan. The other director is I Gusti Ngurah Gde Antika.
BNI floated 25 percent new shares in November last year. The government retains a controlling interest.
BNI, with total assets of Rp 35.89 trillion (US$14 billion) as of last March, recorded a net profit of Rp 115 billion during the first three months this year, a 34.3 percent increase over the same period last year. (rid)
