Minister calls for closure of Terminal III: Minister of Manpower
Jacob Nuwa Wea wants to close down Terminal III at Soekarno-Hatta
International Airport. He said the terminal, which was set up to
accommodate returning Indonesian migrant workers, had become a
hotbed of extortion. "The airport is like a state within a state,
we just can't control it," Jacob said, as quoted by Antara. He is
proposing to construct a new center run by his office in Ciracas,
East Jakarta, to facilitate returning workers. -- JP
