JAKARTA: The founder and president director of pharmaceutical
firm PT Konimex, Djoenaedi Joesoef, was inducted into the Ernst &
Young (E&Y) 2004 World Entrepreneur of the Year hall of fame on
Saturday in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

The E&Y award was presented to Djoenaedi for his achievement
in transforming Konimex from a modest company with 70 employees
to one of the largest and most technologically advanced
pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia. Konimex currently has a
workforce totaling 3,500 people.

Djoenaedi was selected along with 31 other top entrepreneurs
from various countries around the world. -JP
