Binus writing competition

After hosting a workshop on writing articles for print and on- line media on Oct. 10, Bina Nusantara University (Binus) will hold a writing contest with the theme, "Strategies and Experiences Using Information Technology."

The contest's committee has invited university students from different departments to take part in the competition and share their ideas for improving the learning process at the university. To take part, students must create their own blogs by registering at www.blogspot.com or www.blogsome.com, among other sites.

The articles on the blogs should be written in Bahasa Indonesia and be between 750 words and 1250 words, and they must be previously unpublished. The writers of the best articles will be invited to present their work on Dec. 10 to a team of jurors who will select the winners.

The committee will provide cash prizes of Rp 1 million, Rp 750,000 and Rp 500,000 for the first, second and third place winners, respectively.
