Bintaro hospital responds

We refer to a letter from Walter Wildner that appeared in The
Jakarta Post on July 20. Bintaro International Hospital would
appreciate an opportunity to respond to his queries and to
clarify as follows:

* Our company believes it is unacceptable to discriminate
against foreign patients, therefore our policy is a single fee
rate for all patients, foreign or local.

* The fee for wisdom tooth extraction charged for Wildner's
daughter is the current rate for this procedure.

* In the case of the same procedure for Wildner's stepson,
again, the fee applied was the current rate.

Why is there a difference? Wildner's daughter required the
services of an oral surgeon due to the complexity of the
procedure she required, whereas his stepson required a simple
extraction, which was undertaken by a general dentist.

We hope this has clarified the matter and would be more than
happy if Wildner contacted us directly, should he wish to discuss
this further.
