BII executives to resign

JAKARTA (JP): Two directors and a commissioner of publicly listed Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) will resign by the end of the month, the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) said on Monday.

President director Hanafi Gan Bin Abdullah will apparently resign for health reasons.

Vice president director Timothy Jones will leave the bank because his soon-to-mature contract with the bank will not be renewed by the shareholders, JSX said quoting a letter it received from the bank.

The bank also said that its chief commissioner Teddy Pawitra, for an undeclared reason, would leave at the same time as the directors.

The bank's extraordinary shareholders meeting scheduled for Jan. 28 will approve the resignations and announce replacements. (udi)
