Fire razes factory in Pulo Gadung

JAKARTA: Fire razed a packing materials factory owned by PT
Inti Multi Utama in Pulo Gadung industrial estate, East Jakarta,
on Wednesday evening.

No casualties were reported in the incident, and material
losses have yet to be estimated.

East Jakarta fire brigade deployed 15 appliances to the scene
but they only managed to extinguish the fire after midnight.

A firefighter, Mardianto, said that a security guard at the
factory saw the fire starting at around 9:30 p.m. in the 3,000-
square-meter factory. The factory contained inflammable materials
used for producing the packing materials.

Cakung Police are still investigating the incident and have
yet to discover the cause of the fire. -- Antara
