Bekasi toll road to boost development

BEKASI: A 45-kilometer toll road will be built here next year,
connecting the industrial area of Cikarang with Tanjung Priok
port in North Jakarta.

The Karang Tanjung toll road will support the development of
northern Bekasi, the head of the Bekasi Planning and Development
Board, Atmadjaya, was quoted by Tempointeraktif.com as saying on
Wednesday.

Atmadjaya added that the administration was now looking for
investors to carry out the project, which will cost an estimated
2.3 trillion (US$250 million). Toll road operator PT Jasa Marga
would also be involved in the project, he said.

"We have completed the feasibility study and the construction
plan," he said. --JP
