Beach volleyball queens due here

JAKARTA (JP): The world's queens of beach volleyball,
including the Australian pair of Anita Palm and Liane Fennick and
the Brazilian team of Tavares Pires Sandrinha and Jacky Silva
Jacqueline Louise Cuz will be in Bali for this year's World Beach
Volleyball Championship from Sept. 13 to Sept. 17.

Some other best pairs of the world, Barbara Fontana and Lori
Kotas Forsythe of the United States and their Olympic-qualified
compatriots Masakayan and Carolyn Kirby will also be among the
participants of 34 countries which have confirmed entry.

As host, Indonesia is entitled to field two men's teams and
two women's teams, Rita Subowo, head of the organizer said
yesterday. The championship serves as a qualifier for the 1996
Olympic Games in Atlanta and will be broadcast live by private
television channel Indosiar. (arf)
