'Battle of Wits'

The Battle of Wits, which is aired on TVRI every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., is a really good educational program. It is extremely suitable for students, since it broadens their horizons and provides current information about public issues.

Moreover, those who are learning English can benefit from the program as the lively arguments and debates from enthusiastic participants can help build their vocabulary and provide them with new expressions. They also learn debating techniques, which are demonstrated by both teams. The audience is also motivated to have a greater concern for social problems.

Unfortunately, this program generally features participants from the Jakarta area. I think it would be much more interesting to include participants from out of Jakarta.
