Batam-Surabaya flight service

BATAM, Riau (JP): Merpati Nusantara Airlines, a subsidiary of
the national air carrier of Garuda Indonesia, will link Batam
with Surabaya and Denpasar with its Batam-Palembang-Bandung
service beginning on July 1.

"The airplane will stop over in Palembang and Bandung before
going to Surabaya and Denpasar and passengers will not have to
stop over in Jakarta anymore," said Abdul Rodjak, Merpati
Nusantara Airlines district manager here over the weekend.

The new flight service line will use F-28 aircraft, leaving
Denpasar at 6.30 a.m local time and will depart from Batam at
12.50 p.m. local time daily.(rmn/yns)
