BASF clarifies
BASF clarifies
PT BASF Indonesia would like to clarify issues raised in a
news report, Hospitals, firms accused of polluting rivers, that
appeared on page 8 of the July 26 edition of The Jakarta Post:
As the world's largest chemical company, BASF is committed to
Responsible Care, which includes environmental protection as one
of its principles. In line with this commitment, PT BASF
Indonesia, in its day-to-day operation, has implemented all
requirements with regards to environmental protection as
regulated by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
Upon these grounds, we would like to declare that the news
referring to PT BASF Indonesia, as mentioned above, is not true,
and that PT BASF Indonesia has never polluted rivers in Bekasi
through the disposal of its waste.
We hope this will rectify the facts.
