Baramuli's story

When asked why he trusted Baramuli upon receiving from him Rudy Ramli's alleged letter denying the existence of a journal on the details of the Bank Bali scandal, Habibie responded: "I trusted him because he is the head of the Supreme Advisory Council (DPA)." When Baramuli was asked why Habibie trusted him, he replied: "People trust me because I am the head of DPA."

Now that the true scenario has gradually been revealed by the actors taking part in the "Baligate" show and the names of the actors disclosed, though strongly denied by Baramuli as well as others, will he still say people trust him as the head of the DPA? He may have forgotten he may be able to fool people, but he can not fool God. God never sleeps. The aphorism "thieves will never tell the truth" seems applicable here.

The worst thing was Baramuli's condemnation and accusation that Rudy Ramli was a liar and drug addict. As the head of the DPA he should wary of his words. Rudy Ramli might be lying in some of his journal entries or perhaps confused, but was he lying about what actually happened involving Baramuli?

Baramuli may be a person with many great ideas, including his success story in uncovering the Eddy Tanzil scam, but his actions and words will not earn the people's respect.
