Bankers to go on trial
JAKARTA: A number of top bankers would face court on charges of misusing bank liquidity assistance in the 1990s, Attorney General spokesman Mulyoharjo said here on Friday.
Mulyohardjo told journalists that state prosecutors had finished investigating the high profile cases but the Attorney General's Office was yet to set the dates of their indictment.
The suspects include the managers of Bank Surya, Bambang Sutrisno, South East Asia Bank Andi Sunaryo, and Ficorinvest's Supari and Sumari.
Three former senior officials of the Central Bank (BI) will also face court, namely, Paul Sutopo, Hendro Budiyanto, and Heru Supraptomo.
Mulyohardjo also mentioned Setiawan Haryono, a manager of Bank Aspac, as a suspect, who will be taken to court soon. --Antara
