Bank gives poor Rp 300m
JAKARTA: Bank Niaga has handed out Rp 300 million (US$127,659) in aid as part of its social activities to mark its 41st anniversary on Sept. 26.
The donations were handed out by the bank's president director Gunarni Soeworo on Thursday to several social organizations, orphanages, religious projects, the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for its heart catheterization project and Cendrawasih University in Irian Jaya.
Among the organizations which received money were the Sejati Foundation, the Nanda Dian Nusantara Foundation and the Santi Rama Foundation. (ste)
