Bank Exim clarifies

Referring to a Reuters news report published by The Jakarta
Post, June 25, 1998, titled RI govt and Central Bank sued for
$58.59 billion, we, Bank Exim, would like to clarify as follows:

1. Bank Exim never had any agreement to act as a conduit and has
never issued any letters of confirmation or received any funds
regarding the so-called "Gustaff D. Parengkuan/The Group of BA
Ltd's transaction."

2. So, we state that any such allegations are false and have no
basis whatsoever.
