Bank employees protest in Bandung

BANDUNG: About 400 employees of the Bandung branch of Danamon
Bank protested against the Central bank and government's policy
regarding the takeover of the bank.

They blamed mass employee dismissals on the policy, saying
many of their positions were taken by government workers.

They demanded severance pay of up to 70 times their wage.

The management was not available for comment on Monday.
