Banda Aceh all set for meeting

BANDA ACEH, Aceh: Local hotels and inns are ready to
accommodate the 3,000 people expected to participate in the
congress of the Muhammadiyah Moslem organization next month.

Spokesman of the organizing committee, T. Bahrumsyah, told
Antara this week that there are 20 hotels in the city where the
congress is to be opened by President Soeharto on July 6. The
event will last through July 10.

The committee has also prepared 70 school buildings, as well
as local residents' houses to put up another 20,000 Muhammadiyah
supporters.

Teuku Djohan, who chairs the local committee, said that
pedicab drivers, traders and drivers of public transportation
vehicles have been asked to provide good service to congress
