Ballot papers reach regencies

JAKARTA: The General Elections Commission (KPU) said on Monday that ballot papers for the Sept. 20 election runoff had reached all regencies and municipalities in the country.

The KPU member tasked with overseeing material procurements for the polls, Hamid Awaluddin, said most of the regental elections commissions (KPUD) had received the ballot papers late last week.

"We have yet to deliver reserve ballots, which will be sent to a small number of regencies," he said.

He said that all poll organizers at the village level (PPS) would receive their ballot papers within the next three days.

The KPU has ordered 154.1 million ballot papers from printers, plus a 2.5 percent reserve for the Sept. 20 polls. -- JP
