Bali gets new management

JAKARTA (JP): Shareholders of the publicly listed Bank Bali approved on Thursday the appointment of a new board of directors and commissioners for the period of 2000-2002.

The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) said the management reshuffle followed the recent completion of the bank's recapitalization program, which lifted its capital adequacy ratio to 12.8 percent.

Career banker Dradjat Bagus Prasetio was appointed as the bank's new president.

The other members of the board of directors are Hendry Khendy, Nandi H. Hamaki, Sjahfiri Gaffar, Thomas Tan Tjio Tong, Andrew Hardi Hanubrata and Joseph Georgino Godong. The last three are from Bank Bali.

I Nyoman Soewandha was appointed the chief commissioner, and the other members of the board of commissioners are Kemas M. Arief, Chandra Purnama and Emri.

Bank Bali was nationalized by the government earlier this year.(rei)
