Bali Declaration (1)
A month has past since the Bali Declaration was issued in Denpasar, Bali, but the team charged with the task of formulating the policy as a follow-up to President Soeharto's appeal has not completed its job. The President made the appeal on Aug. 16, 1995. The public, particularly those in the lower and middle- income brackets, are waiting for the realization of the tycoons' promise. There are signs of concern and disappointment among the people.
Big business has made the same promise on several occasions before -- at the Hilton and Tapos cattle breeding meetings -- but no concrete action has been taken.
I would like to offer my help in solving the social gap problem; to improve the wellbeing of the 27 million people living below the poverty line in less than ten years. My concept can only be realized with the support of the tycoons.
