Balada Ghoshal clarifies

This is in reference to my part-two article The future of democracy in Indonesia that you published on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6. When the article was submitted, there was no reference to my association with the United Nations Support Facility for Indonesian Recovery (UNSFIR), nor was there any reference to any study being undertaken by UNSFIR on the above.

I fail to understand how The Jakarta Post got the reference to UNSFIR or any study being undertaken on that subject by the same organization.

It was an assumption by the Post that has no basis. I would therefore appreciate it very much if you could publish an apology for linking my article with any study being undertaken by the UNSFIR.

I want to reiterate that the article concerned had no relationship with any studies by UNSFIR. The article was my individual assessments based on perceptions of the Indonesian elite, and does not represent the views of any organization.
