Bakrie Finance gets loan

JAKARTA (JP): PT Bakrie Finance Corporation, a publicly-listed
multi-finance firm affiliated to the Bakrie Group, has secured a
US$20 million loan from the London-based Commonwealth Development
Corporation.

The company said in a statement here yesterday that the loan,
agreed in London late last month, was designated for leases to
small and medium-scale firms, mostly in East Java and eastern
Indonesia.

Bakrie Finance Corporation recorded pre-tax profit of Rp 7.9
billion ($3.38 million) in the first semester of this year,
representing a 154 percent increase over the same period last
year. It recorded total assets of Rp 805 billion as of June 30.
