Bahana to build acid plant
JAKARTA (CNI): PT Bahana Oleo Selaras has secured approval from the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board to build a fatty acid and glycerin plant in Dumai, with a total investment of Rp 295.57 billion($31 million).
According to sources at the Investment Board, the new plant would have a capacity to produce 45 750 ton of fatty acid and 5200 ton of glycerin and would employ 92 workers.
Indonesia has only five companies in the oleochemicals sector, with total capacities of 350 000 ton/year of fatty acid and 50 000 ton/year of glycerin.
PT Bahana Oleo is a new investor in the sector.
