Bad taste

On the way to the office on Sept. 23 I was determined to pen down a few lines about what I felt was sheer bad taste. Ironically it was an ad campaign by "Giant", which is my shopping station on all occasions.

On the first occasion a couple of days back when I saw it I somehow turned a blind eye. However as it was repeated again I simply couldn't be so irresponsible to just ignore it. I guess it was done to attract customers who were already bogged down by the traffic.

Just on the crossing near Cilandak, near to Town Square, there were girls standing all over the place ill-clad and advertising products available at Giant. It was obnoxious I must say. I can understand having such campaigns inside the plazas, but on the road? Almost every passer-by was ogling at the girls who were doing the job they had been assigned to do.

It was really bad taste in advertising as I always appreciate interesting good ads. Such activities harm the brand rather than boosting sales.
