Baby's corpse found at roadside

JAKARTA: The corpse of a baby girl was found inside a black plastic bag at the roadside on Jl. Mangga Besar, Central Jakarta, at about 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

A woman noticed the bag while taking her daughter to school. As she felt curious but was too scared to open it, she reported it to an employee at the office of the local community unit, who later reported it to the police.

The police found a newly born baby's corpse covered with blood, according to First Insp. Idodo Mangunsong, chief of detectives at the Sawah Besar police subprecinct.--JP
