Awards for law officials

JAKARTA: Seven senior officials of the Ministry of Justice
were granted Bintang Jasa Utama awards from the government during
the ceremony of the Indonesian 50th independence anniversary at
the ministry on Thursday.

Minister of Justice Oetojo Oesman, on behalf of the
government, presented the awards to Mohammad Salim, the
ministry's former secretary-general; Ridwan Sani, the ministry's
inspector general; M. Saleh Baharis, the director general of
laws; Baharuddin Lopa, the director general of correctional
institutions; Roni Sikap Sinuraya, former director general of
immigration; Nico Kansil, director general of copyrights, patent,
and trademarks; and C.F.G. Sunaryati Haryono, chairman of the
Agency for National Legal Development.

Spokesman for the ministry of justice Sarjono said Oetojo also
presented the Satyalencana Karya Satya awards for the ministry's
employees who have been working for the government for 20 and 30
years.

The minister also presented the Abdisatyabhakti trophy to the
Batam Immigration Office for its good service.(imn)
