Awards for hotels in Bali

JAKARTA (JP): The United States' Travel & Leisure publication has named Four Seasons Resort Bali and Amandari Bali as two of the best 100 hotels in the world.

In the October issue, Four Seasons Resort Bali won 15th slot in the 100 Best Hotels category and fourth rank in the Best Asian Hotels and Resort listing. Amandari Bali won 36th rank and seventh rank respectively.

The 147-villa Four Seasons Resort Bali is located in Jimbaran, Bali. The property is run by Canada-based Four Seasons-Regent Hotels and Resorts, a leading hotel chain currently managing 37 hotels in 16 nations.

The 29-villa Amandari, atop a cliff in Ubud, Bali, is one of four hotels in Indonesia run by Aman Resorts of Hong Kong.

Based on a questionnaires mailed to its selected subscribers, Travel & Leisure named the Oriental hotel in Bangkok as the best hotel in the world, followed by the Hayman Island Resort in Australia and the Peninsula Hong Kong. (icn)
