Awards for good services

BOGOR (JP): PDAM Bogor water company and the Bogor branch of
West Java Province-owned Bank (BPD) have been awarded Abdi Satya
Bhakti awards for their achievements in services.

The awards, which were handed over by President Soeharto at
the State Palace yesterday, were paraded around Bogor by Bogor
Mayor Eddy Gunardi earlier in the day.

It is the third Abdi Satya Bhakti award PDAM Bogor has won
since 1995, and BPD Bogor's first, Eddy said.

Eddy hoped the award presentations would help promote the work
ethics of all employees of the Bogor mayoralty. "Hopefully such
ethics can be maintained by all employees," he said.

PDAM Bogor's president, Daslim Saibi, said his company, which
has about 30,000 customers, constitutes one of the major revenue
contributors to the mayoralty.

"In the 1996/1997 fiscal year alone, the company's revenue
contribution reached about Rp 1.7 billion (US$641,500)," he said.
