Automated ticketing system

JAKARTA (JP): National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia will use an automated ticketing system for all reservations for the airline's flights starting Oct. 1.

Garuda's spokesperson Pujobroto said that the automated ticketing system would help travel agents to process and confirm reservations faster and more accurately.

"In the future, we're going to make the automated system a prerequisite for all travel agents who sell Garuda's tickets," he said.

Currently, there are only 176 of a total of 420 domestic travel agents across Indonesia who are linked to Garuda's automated reservation system. (cst)
