Austria helps local hospital
PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: The Austrian government has over the past two years contributed Rp 18 million to the Palembang General Hospital in the form of sophisticated equipment and maintenance expenses.
Antara quoted hospital director Dr. Masagus Johan T. Soleh as saying the 14 different types of modern health care equipment included intensive care unit and intensive cardiac care unit equipment.
The hospital has 1,689 employees, including 114 specialists, 128 general practitioners, eight dentists, 825 paramedics and 614 nonmedical personnel. (swe)
