JAKARTA: An Australian delegation held a meeting with the Indonesia Military (TNI) leadership on Wednesday in a bid to clarify its plan to equip its fighter jets and aircraft with long-range cruise missiles.
The delegation included Australia's foreign affairs ministry secretary-general Ashton Calvert, assistant Greg Moriarty, Australian Ambassador to Indonesia David Ritchie, defense attache Ken Brenwrigg and political attache John Williams.
TNI Commander Endriartono was accompanied by assistant to the TNI chief for General Affairs Maj. Gen. Dadi Susanto, Strategic Intelligence Body head Maj. Gen. Lutfhie and TNI spokesman Maj. Gen. Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.
"Yes, the meeting was only a clarification," Endriartono said after a ceremony marking the transfer of the military tribunal to the Supreme Court. -- JP
