Aum Shinri Kyo

After the incident of poison gas in Tokyo subway station, the police are still investigating and arresting the members of this cult. That the guru of this cult believed in doomsday, Armageddon or Apocalypse, this is his own business, but I cannot fathom the man's mind, and neither can I understand his motive of trying to annihilate his countrymen. A robber, who robs his victim does so in order to covet his victim's money, but the guru of this cult killed without any plausible motive.

Similarly, the case of the Oklahoma bombing has no clear motive as to why a man wanted to kill his fellow men. This only proves that the world can be easily terrorized by a few lunatics.

It is a pity indeed, that the guru, who is undoubtedly a well talented man has to use his talent for evil purposes. A man who can persuade intelligent people to join his cult must have, besides talent, a great deal of charisma.
