Auction on the Internet
JAKARTA (JP): Local on-line auction service provider Lelang2000.com announced on Tuesday plans to invest about US$2 million to further develop its site.
The company said its business had shown good growth with nearly 3,000 local Internet users becoming members of the service, with about 776 of them participating in the sales and auctions held on the company's website.
Lelang2000.com, which first went on-line in December last year with an initial investment of $200,000, allows its members to sell and buy items, including antiques, collectible postage stamps and phone cards and various household appliances, over the Internet.
The company said it would cooperate with retailers and Internet cafes to open outlets for Lelang2000.com members to display their offered items. (cst)
