Astra Graphica divestment
JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed information technology company PT Astra Graphica said it had completed the divestment of all of its non-ore business activities
The company said on Saturday it had sold its shoe-making business unit and its leather and garment business units to three separate companies.
They are PT Surya Puspita, a leather company, PT Binabusana Internusa, a garment manufacturer, and PT Damai Makmur Utama, Astra said in statement.
Astra's financial report for 2000 will no longer reflect a consolidated report of its consumer-based subsidiaries, the statement said.
"By 2001, the company can focus all of its efforts and capital on the development of its core business, which is document solution and information technology," the company said.(bkm)
