Aspac race to end motocross series
JAKARTA (JP): The Asia Pacific Motocross Championships at Bumi Serpong Damai circuit in Tangerang, West Java, on Oct. 27 and Oct. 28 will decide the national championships overall title.
Organizers of the international race said yesterday that Australian quartet Paul Timmins, Jason McGuiness, Meng Wong and Cameron Sinclair, New Zealander Nigel Smiths, American Paul LAM and Japan's Shinichi Saga are expected to face local competition from Irwan Ardiansyah, Satya Sunarso, Frans Tanujaya and Edy Sumampouw.
While pushing their foreign rivals to the limit, the local riders will vie for the national championship series overall title.
Parts of the 1.275-meter Bumi Serpong Damai circuit are being rebuilt for the race. The circuit was the venue for the motocross exhibition race at the 14th National Games recently. (amd)
