Artist : Limp Bizkit Album : The Unquestionable Truth, Part 1 (Geffen)

The downward slide is not yet over for rapcore band Limp Bizkit.

Eat You Alive off the band's last outing Result May Vary is probably the worst mumbling and ranting ever put on record, whereas Behind Blue Eyes from the same album is the most uninspiring cover ever made of The Who classic.

And now, three long years after Result, Limp Bizkit entertain us with another ill-conceived album The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1), 29 minutes of dreary guitar noise that is accompanied by singer Fred Durst's faux-political statements. Yes, the band that gave us songs like Break Stuff and Rollin' has now gone political.

But Durst doesn't go far beyond saying "I don't like radio, I don't like TV. They are selling so much s**t these days" (The Channel).

The return of guitarist Wes Borland is not able to save the day. Borland churns his axe as if he is auditioning for a hard- core cover band.

Let's cross our fingers that there will be no Part 2. -- M. Taufiqurrahman
