Arsyad submits 37 drafts of bylaws

PALEMBANG, South Sumatra: South Sumatra governor Rosihan Arsyad submitted to the provincial legislative council's plenary session here on Tuesday 37 drafts of bylaws and one draft of a gubernatorial decree.

The 37 drafts of bylaws included those on waste treatment fees and the province's authority in the oil and gas business.

The governor also proposed that the provincial administration drop its ownership of the 25,000 square meter plot on Jl. Pangeran Ratu, Seberang Ulu I, Palembang.

ARsyad additionally proposed that the ownership of 838,127 tons of steel as well as 50 heavy equipment machines be given up. He is requesting that the Lahat regency take over the ownership of the (former) province's assets, "for the sake of people's welfare." --Antara
