Armed robbers hit mineral water firm

DENPASAR, Bali: A group of about 10 robbers, one armed with a gun, broke into a mineral water company office here on Sunday and made off with money and jewelry.

Bali Police spokesman Lt. Col. Y. Suyatmo believed company employees may have been involved in the robbery because the men knew the design of the office, including the location of the safe.

"The robbers failed to grab the contents of the box since they could not find the key or break it open," Suyatmo said.

However, they took cash, five gold rings and two gold necklaces belonging to company employees, with the total value estimated at about Rp 1.4 million.(zen/jun)
