Armed gang robs doctor in Bogor

BOGOR (JP): A group of eight armed robbers ransacked a house belonging to a doctor on Jl. Raya Parung No. 45 in Jambon village of Parung district here and made their escape in the victim's Kijang van and Rp 15 million in the early hours of Monday.

The doctor, identified as Permana, told the police the robbery took place around 4:30 a.m. when the gang broke the window on the back of the house.

The family awoke after hearing noises and the armed gang, all wearing masks, tied them up.

The gang then fled in Permana's Kijang, registration number F 1241 FI along with two television sets and the money looted from Permana's clinic, next to the house.

The case is being handled by the Parung Police and the Bogor Police. (21/edt)
