SURAKARTA, C. Java: A couple and their unborn child died
Tuesday when the Argolawu express train on the Jakarta-Surakarta
line hit a minibus carrying five passengers on a railway crossing
here.
One of the victims was a woman in the late stage of pregnancy,

Witnesses said the accident occurred at about 5 a.m. local
time because the railway crossing guard had fallen asleep and
failed to close the gate before the train reached the crossing.

Two other passengers, Rachmat's mother, Eliawati, 54, and his

the police had arrested the railroad crossing guard, Margono, 50,
and questioned Sukadi, the Argolawu driver.
